Grace in small things: part 28 of 365

Posted on | January 26, 2009 | 3 Comments

1. Waking up with a daughter and a kitty snuggled up against me, and a bonus of clear sinuses.

2. The cookbook Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone by Deborah Madison.

3. Chris started the painting portion of the dining room re-do and the color is heavenly.

4. The dining room table is set up with its smallest configuration and tucked into the alcove next to the fridge, by the French doors. I will begin looking for a small table and chairs set to keep there. Lila and I spent part of the afternoon cutting out construction paper hearts for her class valentines and the light was wonderful.

5. I made cupcakes this weekend for the first time in months, and while they were scrumptious (chocolate espresso cake with Bailey’s espresso buttercream frosting) I am glad I got that business idea out of my system and have my kitchen back for more healthful cooking.

Schmutzie recognizes a good thing when it’s happening and she started a community over on Ning. If you’re interested in starting your own Grace blog, go take a look at what’s growing over there. I’m cross-posting here and at Grace in Small Things.

Thanks for reminding me about that cookbook. I’ve been wanting it, but keep forgetting to write it down.
