1. That bamboo can be spun into a fiber so soft, I want to knit it into underwear.

2. That Chris keeps at it with his late-in-life guitar lessons. It’s hard to learn a new language at this stage of the game.

3. Home sweet home (says Lila, over and over again after watching Winnie the Pooh).

4. The tree angel finally gave up the ghost and made room for the lit-from-within star.

5. Back to the having a kitten in the house thing: she rules with an iron fist and keeps even Oliver, the cat-walrus mix in line.

    I wish my fingers could learn a new language while I sleep. Guitar playing sets someone apart as someone graced, I think.

    S is religious about his guitar lessons. And another friend of ours just started–and then started a band (of 40somethings!).
