She is doing a lot of sorting of things in the house. Oh, Maude there are so many things. These people were big collectors. But the yard will just go to pot if we don't help out or hire someone for her. So frustrating. Thanks so much for your continued support. It means the world to me. I don't think I realized that your MIL lives with you. It's such a mix of blessing and hell, I imagine. Tho I do think that my response about not ever being paid for the house cleaning would be something along the lines of "that was called room and board etc..." I think it's definitely generational and her now deceased husband was a total and complete control freak so she is not much of an independent thinker. I have more to say on that and will be blogging more about it as this goes on. Funny, I've been feeling all blogged out with the kitchen garden schtick...3 years of the same seasons rolling around. It does seem to help them focus and get on with things, to feel vital...if that's any comfort. Give yourself a big hug and congratulate yourself for having been so good and kind. None of us do it perfectly and it's okay. I love how beautifully and peacefully you're walking into change. It's never easy to know what we haven't fully experienced and there is a leap of faith at some point, seems to me. But good to sit and feel how this is over a period of time, to feel what works best for your sense of yourself and your family, for your deepest loves and goals. It's all good!
