Sandra, the bread is so yum!!! and super-easy. Though making it made me want to make the Rosemary Olive oil loaves I do that take 3 days and a ton of kneading (by hand). Hmmmmmm.

Lisa, zippers can be a real drag. Hope 3rd time was the charm! I've been sort of mooning away for post-menopausal life. This last cycle all came intensely in 1.5 days, very heavy, very intense, very exhausting. I'll be 41 in a couple of months... and sense things are starting to really change. Time to get some acupuncture methinks.

El, every time I have ever had scotch it was after wine and even just a few sips puts me into a desperate hangover situation. Horrible! Hope you're feeling better now.

The bread didn't rise quite enough (cold in my house...and I gave it 22 hrs) but it was still incredible.

no seeds. I spent the entire day in the kitchen instead... next weekend.

I have made that bread* and that bread has made me feel like I can really, truly bake. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. I keep looking around to see who else could have possibly made it.

Yesterday was all PTO Carnival, all day long. Today will be, again, bread ... tonight Oscars.

* OK not THAT bread, but a very very very similar bread from Cooks' Illustrated, made in a Dutch oven.

Well, it's Sunday now and I'm going to have to do what you did yesterday because we were out way too late last night. And I hear you about the long list of things to be done! But we have another supper out tonight so think I might even have to take a nap!

I'm with Lisa, past the whole monthly doo-dah...truly very nice, have to say. Like being a kid again! Hang in there!
