At the old house, I planted them in the late summer/fall and had them germinate just fine--if you do it then, you can make sure that you get blooms for next year already! As a side note, we'll be visiting my husband's family in Lake County this July and we'd love to visit a pick-your-own farm, preferably one that has berries. Any suggestions for local farms and timely crops? Geauga County is an easy drive from my MIL's house, and I'm thinking there has to be something in or near Geauga.
