Moving into hyperspeed mode

So our realtor thinks we should list our house as soon as we have final approval, around about my birthday, May 10. That’s just about two weeks to knock down the longest to-do list in the history of me.

The sun is shining again, though it’s only 50*, and I’m walking around rubbing my hands together and not letting myself turn the heat back on even though I’m cold wearing layers of fleece. Woke this morning to the sound of Chris scraping the windshield on the truck at 4:45, and had a moment of panic that the chickens didn’t make it through such a cold night without the heat lamp. They did fine, but I’m not sure how these tulips will fare.

I’m planning a big salad with mesclun and arugala tonight, and wondering how long these small patches will last us. Hopefully until it’s time to move, and I can just pick up the boxes and set them down on the patch of south-facing lawn and replant. Damned flea beetles made a mess of the leaves. Let’s hope they stay behind.

In other happy news, my brother Derek found out that he won a prestigious award for his unique pottery work at school, and has his art show today. I wish I could be there to support him in person. I’ll post photos when he sends them.
