On repeat
Lila’s constantly asking everybody if they’re “alright,” and she recently came up with the Family Well-Being Lines of Demarkation:
“Mommy, you awright!” Pokes me in the chest.
“I’m fine!” Stabs self in chest with finger several times.
“Ty’s okay!” Points towards wherever Tyler happens to be at the moment.
“Daddy’s Supah Hott!” Said while cradling my face in her chubby hands and looking deeply into my eyes to make sure I understand her. “Daddy’s Supah Hott!” One more time just to be clear.
She’s right.*

* I think he got me all aquiver, just look at that jagged picture. Must find the tripod.

"Autumn is the eternal corrective. It is ripeness and color and a time of maturity; but it is also breadth, and depth, and distance. What man can stand with autumn on a hilltop and fail to see the span of his world and the meaning of the rolling hills that reach to the far horizon?"

Hey Kelly, I was wondering if you could help me… On my site I am asking people to joing me reading and blogging through a parenting book. (Want to join?) I am going to make a button for it for people to put on their sites, and I found a photograph I wanted to use- but I don’t want to just use someones random photograph.
The photograph was hands, holding a little dirt, with a plant sprouting out of the dirt.
It reminded me of you- of your able hands, and of your garden.
So- I thought I’d ask… would you take a picture of your able hands holding a little dirt, with a plant sprouting from the dirt?
Am I a complete weirdo for asking you? If you think I’m nuts, its ok, just ignore me.

So, I take it you take to calling daddy supah hott a lot?! And, where I come from–a man holding a tool on some unfinished somethin’ is supah hott!! (Rural Indiana will ruin you for any of those snazzy fast-talking East Coast boys–always

Hi Kelly,
I just wanted to compliment you on your blog–beautiful design on the banner. The birds on the left hand side almost look like the face of a baby girl lookint upwards to me when I glanced at them quickly…anyone else? Anyway, beautiful design and a beautiful life you’re writing about. I peeked at your to do list; wow! All the best.
